A measure of the opening, then the hang or frame work written in the scope: hinges, latch or lock, and a check that the leaf clears the finished floor and meets the stop. Towers also need a service-lift time. The scope is agreed before a leaf is cut.
A leaf in a square existing frame is the smaller job. A new frame, removal, architraves, making good, a multipoint lock, several villa doors, or a certified fire doorset all change the figure. One Dubai advert shows interior hanging from about AED 200, which is labour on an existing opening, not the door and the finish. Certified wooden fire-door leaves are often quoted in the market around AED 4,000 to 8,000 before frame, seals and hanging. Those are ranges for the product, not a price for your opening. You get a written scope for the door in front of us.
A light bedroom door in a villa can be a DIY hang if the frame is square. In a tower, management usually wants a permit and a service lift, and the old leaf removed their way. Fire doors, stair doors and many apartment entrance doors are not DIY. The gaps and the closer are part of the rating.
When the latch misses, the hinge screws spin, or the leaf binds on one side, start with adjustment. Buy a new leaf when it is split, punctured, too short after tiling, or the frame rebate has gone. Do not plane a fire door.
No. A fire door is a tested set: leaf, frame, seals and ironmongery. It is not trimmed on site, and a bedroom latch is not swapped onto it. Bedroom doors are ordinary joinery. Stair and corridor doors follow the fire drawing.
