Interior door installation is the bedroom, bathroom, maid’s room, store and corridor leaf inside a home or apartment. Book it when a room door sticks, has been cut too short after new tile, or a fit-out needs leaves hung in frames that are already in the wall.
This is not the apartment entrance door and not the stair door. Those can be fire-rated or security doors required by the building. An interior leaf is the door that only separates rooms.
Leaves that actually get used in UAE homes
Hollow-core flush doors are the common apartment choice for bedrooms. Solid and semi-solid leaves are the better choice for a bathroom or a room that needs more quiet. Paint-grade and prefinished veneer both work; the prefinished leaf should not be cut on the face, only where the manufacturer allows a trim.
Bathroom doors in apartments often need a small undercut or a grille so the extract fan can pull air. Sealing that gap because the door whistles can leave the bathroom without make-up air. The scope says which the room needs.

Hollow core for a light bedroom door. Solid or semi-solid where the bathroom is humid or the room needs a heavier leaf.
Frame already in the wall
Most interior jobs hang a leaf in an existing frame. A new lining is a different scope, used when the rebate is split or the opening was never lined.
What is included, and what is a different door
Included is measuring the lining, hanging the leaf, fitting hinges and a latch or bathroom lock, and lining the strike up so the door catches. Not included is the apartment front door, a certified fire door, structural widening of the opening, or tiling. If new floor tile is still to come, the leaf is left long enough and finished after the tile, or the visit waits.

Questions about this door
Air conditioning dries a room, then a humid bathroom or a door left open to a balcony lets the timber take on moisture. The leaf grows on one edge and binds. A small seasonal bind is often a hinge and strike adjustment. A door that is cupped or split needs a new leaf.
A leaf in a square lining is the small end of the work. The figure rises if the lining is out of plumb, the latch case is a different size, architraves are renewed, or several doors are hung in one villa. A published Dubai start around AED 200 is labour on an existing opening, not the door, the lock and making good. The scope separates those lines.
Only if you already know the lining size, the thickness the hinges can take, and the handing. Most problems come from a leaf ordered to a single tape measure taken at the head. The survey measures the tight width, the tight height and the finished floor, then the leaf is ordered or trimmed within what that core allows.
A little, on the edges the manufacturer allows. Take too much off a hollow leaf and you open the core or lose the lock block. If the floor build-up is large, the right fix is often a slightly taller specification or a new lining, not a deep cut on a hollow door.
Handles and latches that are agreed in the scope are fitted with the hang. Architraves are included when the lining is new or the old architrave is being replaced. Painting a site-finished leaf is a separate decoration step and is only in the scope if it is written there.
A room door that slides on a tracked pelmet can be. A wardrobe shutter system and a pocket door that needs a rebuilt wall are called out separately. Pocket doors need a clear cavity. Many UAE apartment walls are blockwork with no cavity, so a pocket door is often the wrong product.
